How To Stretch Your Dollar Using Coupons – Part 2

Saving 0 9

In last week’s post, we have discussed a few tips on how to save great amount of money using coupons. Read here for more ways on how to maximize the worth of your coupons:

Find a website that will show you what coupons to use at what stores. This will save you a lot of time and make finding coupons easy.

You can save money by creating your grocery list, and then search online to see what coupons are available. You will more than likely locate coupons for needed items right away. If not, plan your shopping trip around different dates and locations.

Frequently use stores that offer the ability to double coupons. At a double coupon store, a 50 cent coupon would (for instance) count for a full dollar in savings on a particular product. This is useful for expensive items that don’t offer any high value coupons. Examine all coupons, because some of the language will tell you not to double and that eliminates that option.

To extend your couponing efforts, add a search engine toolbar to your Internet browser. Before you attempt to make a purchase look up a code or promotion to see if you can get a discount. You won’t only find deals on groceries. You should be able to find deals on minute phones, eBay or Amazon purchases, and a slew of other things.

Before leaving on a shopping trip, be certain you have all your coupons in order. It also helps to let the cashier know ahead of time that you have coupons for certain items. But, they cannot give you the discount unless you are prepared with the coupon readily available.

Write your shopping list based on the coupons you have to save money. If buying a product at fifty percent off is possible and you use it often, stock up! This can save you money down the road.

When you are checking out, be sure to hand the cashier coupons one at a time to ensure each one is applied. While some cashiers may make mistakes, others may purposely leave out one or two coupons. This will help you to maximize the discount that you get at the store.

You can harness the power of coupons as a way to provide assistance to the less fortunate and increase the value of your charitable contributions. Buying groceries and other products for needy people in your local community is affordable when you use coupons to do it.

Create an email address to use solely for your coupons. You can often get coupons from manufacturer newsletters. The contact you receive will be plentiful, so you need a separate account for coupon purposes. You can set up various boxes within your account to keep everything organized. Log in at least once per week to check out any new offers.

As you can see from the above tips, clipping coupons and saving money doesn’t have to be hard work. You just need some basic information to get started. Start taking advantage of coupons and use them to get yourself into a better financial situation.
